Why SafeLock specifically
A standard lock is cut.
A SafeLock lock is opened.
When a suitcase is selected for a security inspection in the United States and other countries, inspectors must open it.
With a standard lock, they have only one solution: to cut it, and you only discover this when the suitcase arrives open.
A TSA-approved lock is opened with a dedicated master key, inspected, and locked back up.
You receive the suitcase locked, and the lock remains intact.
Three steps
And the suitcase is locked
No key to lose.
Just four digits you choose.
Starting from 0-0-0-0
The default code is 0-0-0-0.
Rotate the four digits to zeros and pull the shackle upwards to open the lock.
Selecting a personal code
Rotate the shackle 90ยฐ counterclockwise and press it all the way down, hold it and continue to rotate another 90ยฐ, then turn the dials to your code.
Locking up and leaving
Rotate the shackle back to its normal position and the setting is complete.
Feed it through both zipper pulls, close, and scramble the numbers.
The suitcase is locked and secure for the entire trip.
The red diamond that makes all the difference
The red symbol on the lock body is the Travel Sentry mark.
It tells the security screener that they have a master key that fits this lock.
Without this symbol, the only way for the security screener to clear the suitcase is to cut the lock.
Special steel alloy.
The shackle is made of hardened alloy steel with an anti-rust nickel plating, and the body is cast from zinc alloy.
This makes the difference exactly where cheap padlocks break: the shackle is the part that gets caught, pulled, and battered, and the nickel plating is what protects it from rust after rain in the field, humidity on a plane, and salt at sea.
Not just for a suitcase
The lock is suitable for double zippers, backpacks, gym lockers, hotel lockers, and storage compartments.
One lock that travels with you from the flight to the locker room.
Fly with peace of mind. Even when the suitcase travels alone.
Your suitcase spends most of its journey without you: on conveyor belts, in the aircraft hold, on carts, and in storage areas.
SafeLock keeps the zipper closed the entire way, deters casual tampering, and allows security personnel to do their job without leaving you with a broken suitcase in a foreign country.
Why SafeLock?
The difference is revealed at exactly the wrong moment.

Have questions?
We have answers
The TSA is the aviation security agency of the United States. A TSA-approved lock (marked with the red Travel Sentry diamond) is a lock for which security screeners have a master key.
The meaning is simple: if your suitcase is selected for inspection and you are not there, the screener opens the lock with their key, inspects it, and locks it back up. The lock remains intact and the suitcase remains locked.
If your luggage is selected for screening and there is no way to open it, inspectors have the authority to cut the lock in order to inspect the suitcase.
What happens after that? You arrive at your destination, the lock is gone, and the suitcase remains open and insecure on the way home. This is exactly why this lock exists.
Yes. The lock has passed TSA007 certification by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and comes with an official certificate of authorization.
What is TSA007? This is the series code for the master key that security inspectors carry. A lock marked TSA007 is a lock that their key fits, which is exactly why they do not need to cut it.
The default code is 0-0-0-0. To set your own code, follow these simple steps:
- Pull the shackle up to open the lock.
- Rotate the shackle 90ยฐ counterclockwise and press it down as far as it goes. Hold it pressed down and continue to rotate another 90ยฐ counterclockwise.
- Set your code by turning the dials.
- Rotate the shackle back to its original position. The setup is complete.
To reset a new code, repeat steps 1 to 4 above. Please remember your new code.
After locking, always scramble the numbers so that the code does not remain visible.
The lock is suitable for double zippers - that is, for two zipper pulls, which is the vast majority of suitcases.
If your suitcase has a built-in combination lock, the SafeLock is less relevant for it, but it is still excellent for a backpack, a locker, or a carry-on bag.
Absolutely, and that is one of its advantages. It works great on:
- Backpacks - while traveling, on the train, or at a hotel
- Gym lockers or at the pool
- Hotel lockers while traveling
- Storage compartments or drawers
In fact, most customers buy two or more: one for their suitcase and one for their bag.
- Shackle: Hardened Alloy Steel with nickel plating for corrosion resistance.
- Body: Die-cast zinc alloy with a durable color coating.
- Dials: Four number dials that rotate smoothly and stay in place.
The nickel plating is not just for decoration: it is what prevents rust on the shackle following exposure to humidity, rain, and sea air. This is not plastic, and you can feel it in your hand the moment you hold it.
Beyond the TSA007 certification of the lock itself, the manufacturing facility complies with ISO 9001 (quality management), BSCI (employment conditions and ethical conduct), CE, and REACH (material safety for European standardization) standards.
In addition, there are third-party test reports, including, among others, for salt spray resistance and tensile strength. In practice, this is what lies behind the phrase "anti-corrosion nickel plating": it was actually tested in a laboratory, and we didn't just write it on the packaging.
Yes. That is one of the lock's great advantages; it is completely permitted on flights, both in the aircraft hold and in carry-on luggage. There are no restrictions whatsoever on carrying it.
