We intentionally chose a luxurious faux leather material. The cover and tag are made of faux leather with a polyester lining inside.
For a product designed for travel, this is significantly better: it doesn't absorb stains, it won't dry out and crack after half a year in a bag, it's lighter, it cleans with a damp cloth, and no animals were harmed in the production process. Genuine leather in a set like this would have also made it several times more expensive, without you actually getting anything better.

Yes. The cover is designed for a standard international-sized passport, which includes the Israeli (biometric) passport, as well as foreign passports from most countries.
It also has room for a boarding pass, so everything stays together in one place.
Inside the tag is a removable paper card. Remove it, write your name and phone number with a regular pen, and slide it back in.
Faux leather does not absorb liquids like real leather or fabric. If you splash coffee, water, or light rain, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and that's it, you can go about your day :).
Please note: it is splash-resistant, not waterproof. We do not recommend throwing it in a pool or putting it in the wash.
